In 1968, China’s heavy duty military off-road production base was established by the first generation of Shaanxi Automobile entrepreneurs.

In 1974, Yan’an military off-road produced by Shaanxi Automobile was designated.

In 1978, Shaanxi Automobile gave birth to China’s first-ever civilian lorry truck SX161 with a load capacity of no less than 12t .

35th National Day Parade

In 1999, Shaanxi Automobile military off-roads took part in the military review on the 50th China National Day anniversary ceremony, earning much praise from the State Council as well as the Central Military Commission .

In 2002, Shaanxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile Co., Ltd were established.

2003，The First F2000 Series

On Sep. 16, 2005, Shaanxi Automobile Holding Group signed a joint venture contract with Cummins, the American engine company to set up Xi’an Cummins Engines Ltd. in an effort to produce Cummins ISM 11L heavy duty diesel engines;

On May 18, 2006, Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile Import & Export Co., Ltd. was established, and a contract of automobile assembly line and parts & components procurement worth of 160 million Yuan was concluded and signed on the same day.

In Sep. 2007, both SHACMAN Lorries and Hande Axle won the title of China’s top brand, making Shaanxi Automobile the only heavy duty vehicle manufacturer boasting three national-level recognitions.

On Feb. 28, 2008, the celebration ceremony of the 40th anniversary of Shaanxi Automobile Group was unveiled in Xi’an.

On Oct. 1, 2009, Shaanxi Automobile military off-roads took part in the military review on the 60th China National Day anniversary ceremony for the third time, with a strong line-up.

On Sept 3rd, 2015, China’s anti Japanese and anti fascism war victory 70th anniversary military parade. SHACMAN is currently the only heavy duty military vehicle manufacturer to have attended four consecutive military parades, witnessing the growth and prosperity of China.
